W. West Foster formed Foster Valuation Company LLC in 1981, specializing in general real estate appraisal and counseling services. Sue Anne Foster became a partner in the firm shortly after it was formed.
The staff includes five full-time appraisers, W. West Foster, MAI, CRE, SR/WA; Sue Anne Foster, MAI, SRA; Michael J. Keefe, SRA; Jonathan M. Vaughan and Christine Antonio. Three full time staff perform a variety of support duties to increase the efficiency of the appraisers.
Appraisal and counseling assignments include a variety of property types and a variety of uses for our services. Clients include financial institutions that require appraisals for underwriting loans. Others are governmental entities that need to acquire urban renewal properties; utility, conservation, or recreational easements; and road rights of way. Services have been rendered for numerous attorneys for a variety of litigation support issues involving real estate value. A portion of client services includes tax appeal for both the property owner and the taxing authority, which typically involves large industrial properties.
